Santa Monica Promenade
I spent the late afternoon and early evening walking around the Santa Monica Promenade .
Lately, it has been pretty cold out. And I decided to wear a brand new green sweater. But it was very heavy, and way to thick for the weather.
Well, for some reason the weather decided to warm up.
And I kept getting to hot, and having to leave the stores just to sit out on the Promenade.
While waiting for my friends to arrive, I checked out Papyrus and looked at all the lovely stationery.
I stopped in one of the bookstores, where the Coffee Counter could not figure out how to make a Latte.
When my friends arrived, We ate at Bravo Cucina on the 3rd street Promenade, and I had the Mushroom Ravioli, along with a really nice Chianti.
The waiter recommended the Chianti, and he was oh, so right....
And for dessert a slice of Triple chocolate cake, which we shared.
After that, we spent alot of time in ZGalerrie , looking at all the pretty things that we have neither the money nor the space for.
And by this time, my warm sweater was getting the better of me. And I decided it was time to take back off towards Hollywood. Santa Monica Place at the Third Street Promenade

Notes on A Scandal
Over at the Arclight Cinemas , for a late show of "Notes on A Scandal"
Yes, the acting was amazing. And the story kept me on the edge of my seat...
But the poor kitty who was owned by the psycho woman played by Judi Dench...
Did you see the "Cat Fancy" magazines on the table, covered in dirt and shovels, after she was done burying the poor little thing ....
I could completely relate to her getting more psycho because her poor cat had died.
Yeah, that would be me.... totally even wackier because the poor cat died. LOL !
The scene where she tries to stop Cate Blanchett from going to her child's school performance ... all because the cat died. Oh, I loved it !
And any movie that Bill Nighy is in - well, you have to see it ! He plays Cate Blanchett's older husband..... and he should have received a Best Supporting Actor Nomination, in my opinion. He's one of the best actors out there, and he was great in this.
Great movie.
Judi Dench 's character is so unstable in this, she is amazing.

The Groundlings
After work, I met up with a friend over at The Groundlings on Melrose.
We are both Actresses, and so we have been wanting to catch a performace at the Groundling Theatre.
We each ended up parking on a side street along Melrose. It was very dark and cold out.
We met at the boxoffice, got our tickets. Then we walked around Melrose looking for a place to grab a quick bite before the show.
We found a Mexican restaurant, that looked like a pizza joint in a way - there was a bar in the middle. And numerous people were at the bar.
It looked so much like a bar, I first asked "Can we order food here ?"
We sat at one of the tables - and all the tables had the really high bar stools.
It was loud inside - there seemed to be a TV going, and it was turned up high.
So we ordered quesadillas - and even though it is freezing cold out, we ordered margaritas for some reason.
As we drank the margaritas, they burned going down. And I noticed that I had not even drank a fourth of mine and I was getting alittle tispsy.
My friend commented "Gee its cold out, and the margaritas are icey - they burn going down."
I was starting to get suspicious. I think they were made super strong on purpose.
I skipped the rest of the margarita, and started to sip the water only.
Just then I noticed a guy at the bar. In about his early 30s.
And every few minutes, he would turn around and give us a really dirty look.
It happened about 3 times. I turned to see if there was a window or a tv behind us, to see what he was looking at. Because I couldn't figure out why he was looking at us.
My friend wondered if we were talking to loud, and I said "But they have a TV going."
The last time the guy turned around to give us a dirty look, I noticed the woman sitting next to him grabbed his arm as if to stop him from coming over to our table.
And the woman happened to be our waitress.
I said to my friend "Lets get out of here. There is something going on. This place is just to weird for me."
So we took off, and got to the Groundlings early.
We hung out in the lobby, collecting flyers for acting classes and chatting about the different improv places in Los Angeles.
The Groundlings show was a really funny improv. The place was full, almost sold out. It was their long-form improv.
The Groundlings Theatre is also actually one of the best places to take Improv classes in LA.
After the show was over, I insisted that my friend walk me to my car - and then I would drive her to her car.
It was way to dark out, and it seemed to be to many strange things going on that night.

Art and Food
Spent the afternoon at LACMA , for the exhibit on "Magritte and Contemporary Art".... featuring the artwork of René Magritte .
This exhibit was so well-done and fun. We had a great time.
After that, for the evening, we drove into Studio City, to hang out at The MiniBar Lounge.
We had a group of about 20 - and we were ordering at least one or two servings of all their little food items, and we were sharing.
I liked the "Salmon Brie Strudel" and the "Yucca Bread" the most.
