Could I Have Had A Busier Day ?

You would think since its a Saturday off, I would kick back and try to relax.
No, not I.
I ended up from one end of Hollywood to the other.


LA Casting Seminar with casting director, Francine Selkirk and a Panel of guests.

Of course, I am late. (Why am I always the flakey actress?)
I arrive there and I don't want to pay for parking.
My original plans were to hang out in this section of Hollywood all day, so usually I would just pay for parking and then go do something else around that area of town.
But not today, I have to leave once the seminar is over.
So I drive around and around and around.
And I am late for the seminar.
And I end up paying $8 to park for only and hour and a half.

The seminar was very informative. These things always are. I always learn something new when LA Casting has a free seminar.
Then, I dashed out after it is over.

I have an audition for a Student Thesis film over at the American Film Institute .

Which means I have to leave my expensive parking spot, and drive to the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Western.
I had toyed with the idea of jumping on the metro subway so my car could stay parked.
But the idea of walking up that hill on Western to AFI did not thrill me.

Not to mention when I got to the campus, I had to park way at the top of the campus -the only spot there was a parking place.
And walk all the way down to the building where they were having the auditions.
Walk down the hill to the audition.
Walk up the hill to get back to the car.
Yes, I took lots of pics, and they will be appearing somewhere on these pages soon.

Since, I forgot to grab lunch, I was getting alittle cranky.
(How can I be hypoglycemic, and forget lunch ?)
The waiting for my audition wasn't going fast enough for my blood sugar levels.
But once we got inside to audition, it was great fun.

They were pairing character types up for a bar scene.
Since I am so short, they matched me up with 2 different tall guys.
I had to try to grab them around the shoulders and kiss their cheek.
Ha, Ha - I got to kiss two guys in one afternoon.
See why I said it was great fun ?

After walking back up the hill to my car, I drove back to downtown Hollywood - where I had just been.
Determined not to pay another $8 - I parked at the Hollywood and Highland complex. The Egyptian will validate my parking over there, and it will only cost a few bucks.

I ran into Baja Fresh for a quick lunch before I passed out.
And it my haste, I forgot to say "No cheese".
Oh, whatever - I was starving.

Then, off to my volunteer duties at The Egyptian Theatre .
Tonights movie was William Eggleston in the Real World .
I usually am not into documentaries. But this is about a photographer, so I really wanted to see it.

Good that after my busy day, I got to relax with a movie.
