I must be in the "Activist" Mood. Those "Contact" buttons on the company websites make it easy.
Even though I try to eat as organic as possible, sometimes I am to rushed. I try to make as wise a decision as possible. No fast food for me. But after looking at my last El Pollo Loco meal, it seems like that restaurant is becoming Off-Limits too.
Dear El Pollo Loco -
As much as I love the food at El Pollo Loco, I feel I must stop eating at your restaurants.
Your food is much healthier than most fast food places, but you wrap your hot tortillas in plastic, and your side dishes are in styrofoam. And your "To Go" containers are styrofoam.
I am sure you feel the plastic and styrofoam containers you are using are safe and approved for cooking.
But lately there is alot of controversy about plastics, styrofoam and the causes of cancer.
In August 2005, I was operated on for Breast Cancer. I am currently undergoing Radiation Treatments. Due to my health issues, I feel I must avoid as many plastic and styrofoam containers as possible.
Please start wrapping your tortillas in paper wrap. And please put your food in paper containers.
Many restaurants are already doing this because of the health concerns of their customers.
If you switched your containers, I feel I could once again enjoy your delicious food.
