The DMV
This is how badly I am sleeping:
At 4:30 in the morning, I wake up - and remember that I have scheduled an appointment for 8:30 am at The Department of Motor Vehicles .
It had completely slipped my mind.
I stumble over to my Day-planner. And yes, it is true. I have not dreamed it.
I really do have to go to the DMV in the morning.
Dec 19 th is my birthday.
And my Drivers License is expiring.
The picture on my current drivers license was taken 10 years ago - back when I was a skinny blonde living in Redondo Beach .
Now I am a chubby brunette living in Hollywood .
Time for a new picture.
I drive there, and as usual I am running late.
I was so tired. Uneasy sleep and radiation treatments will do that to you.
Actually, since I have been doing the radiation, I have noticed my eyesight has been alittle worse.
A few months after I am finished with the radiation, I will have to go get my eyesight checked again.
The guy who took my $25 decided to have me read the eye chart.
I panicked alittle. But I am fine if I read far away. Its close up where I need reading glasses.
He made me put a piece of paper up to my one eye to cover it up.
I got the feeling he thought I might cheat.
Maybe because my eyes were so red.
But I passed the eye chart fine.
I got my new chubby-brunette picture taken. And I was out of there in 20 minutes.
