Butterscotch Brownies
Makes 2 Dozen
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 cup all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoons salt
Preheat oven to 350
Cream butter and brown sugar with electric mixer
Beat in vanilla and eggs
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
Stir into creamed butter and brown brown sugar
Mix completely
Butter 9 X13 inch baking pan
Add batter and spread evenly
Bake 35 to 40 minutes
Cool completely. Cut into squares
