They laugh at me, they tease me
Or, if I'm lucky, they ignore me
I can't fit into a decent group of friends
If I do, they back away in the end
I don't have money to buy the "in" clothes
I just want to read and compose
I can't help it if I cry and pout
I've got plans for when school is finally out
When I grow up,
I'll be the one they look upon
Then they'll be sorry they put me on
They'll be sorry they laughed at me
That they teased me
That they ignoed me
I'm gonna be talented and be a big star
Now they think I am strange
in a few years that will all change
When I grow up
I'll be a big star
Then they'll be sorry they put me on
