Sophmore Year - High School

The Last School Dance

My friends told you
that I liked you
You said you would
dance with me
In a corner
I daydreamed about you
so you never could
find me

This is the last school dance
of my sophmore year
The very one I will remember
Only, we had to leave
Will you remember me
On Monday ?

I really want you to like me
Talk to you all I can
Tell me friends about you
and how your my true man

But Monday comes and you see me
you with all your friends
You all start laughing at me
I can't wait for the day to end

This is the last school dance
of my sophmore year
The very one I will remember
Only, we had to leave
Will you remember me
On Monday ?
