My sister told me
sand is made
from sea-shell particles
A sage once told me
you can hear the lull
when someone drowns
At Sunset Beach
And the lifeguard stands
immobile today
My soul sees
my body washed away
At Sunset Beach
A seagull flies
and writes in the sky
I wonder why
someone died
And I stand
unable to move
someone drowns
The seagull lands
down from the sky
Tell me why
I had to die
At Sunset Beach
The sand is made
of shell particles
Listen to the waves
and hear the lull
As I drown
At Sunset Beach
Yes, the lifeguard
is immobile today
My spirit sees
my body washed away
