They tell us cigarette smoking
is dangerous to your health
But the people who make the cigarettes
are swimming in wealth
Even though people are dying
They're still buying
A Cancer-caused death
I have a heart
instead of a Cash Register
And I know
Death is no cure
And as he sits in his
no-smoking-allowed office
He smiled and gloats
He knows he will live rich and long
He's the head of the cigarette company
But he don't smoke
People dropping dead in the street
The other day at the Chairman's feet
But he's making dollars
So he won't listen to the dead holler
I have a heart
instead of a Cash Register
And I know
Death is no cure
