Freshman Year - High School

If I Was Old Enough

If I was old enough
I'd go with you
So you wouldn't be alone
And when we met our destination
we could
start a brand new home

If I was old enough
I'd tell you how I feel
And you wouldn't think me young
To be near someone as
as wonderful as you
will have to be fought and won

If I was old enough
I'd be with you
Saying how amazing you are
I'd hold you so close
and ask you to stay
by me, not so very far

If I was old enough
I'd hold you close
Whispering I love you
And then I would start to cry
Beg you not to say good-bye
If I was old enough
