Freedom At Midnight

Worrying about what to wear
and which is the right way to wear my hair
Will all the kids laugh at me?
and can I pass science with a "D"
Theres just to much to do
in High School

So I'm running away at midnight
tonight
Freedom when the clock stikes midnight

Evenings watching tv
Hoping my parents don't yell at me
I'm only here all alone
No friends to call on the phone
There just to much to do
in High School

So I'm running away at midnight
tonight
Cause being sixteen
isn't what I want to be
Freedom when the clock strikes midnight

If I could be homecoming queen
And get new jeans
and get all "B"s
Then no one would laugh at me

So I'm running away at midnight
tonight
Cause being sixteen
isn't what I want to be
Freedom when the clock strikes midnight

I've got no money
only the clothes on my back
and the makeup in my purse
But believe me, it could be much worse
I could be forced to stay

Freedom when the clock strikes midnight
