I whirled my way through
marshmellows and newspapers and marbles
Through a Shakespearean time
of purple and pink
Of "Thou Art" and "To be"
and fighting swords
fighting over downstaged love lives
I shrugged when I was out-casted
and thought I shouldn't
continue on
A part right for me
would soon come up
But I waited and none appeared
So I did what others thought of as
"lowering myself"
and worked on a committee
In that Shakespearean time
of purple and pink
The Drama Kids
were friendly and helpful and kind
But now The Drama kids
won't say hello anymore
