One of my friends is in a band.
Their myspace page is at Kaniget Rocks .
They had a CD Release party out in North Hollywood.
It was fun. They played their music.
There was food and drinks and lots of cool people.

Back over to The Egyptian Theatre , for a screening of Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains from 1982..
Diane Lane stars as a Punk/Rock star with a cult following.
A really fun movie that brought back alot of memories from the 1980s.
Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out
Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out screened at The Egyptian Theatre
tonight.
There was a Q&A after the movie, with Stewart Copeland , who was one of the founding members of The Police.

This is a great documentary, with lots of great music by The Police.
Lots of backstage scenes that only a Band Member could film.
Definitely "A Must See" for any music fan.
The Pied Piper
I love 1960s things, and Donovan is one of my favorite singers from 60s.
So I went out the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica to see The Pied Piper from 1972.
This version isn't really anything like the children's classic.
Its a serious movie that deals alot with religion and politics.
A very good movie, but not a children's thing at all.

Doctors Appointment
I spent most of last weekend cleaning my apartment and trying to get organized.
Well, I guess I over-did it.
While I was in the shower, I felt a lump on my arm. It was the side where I had the Breast Cancer, and where I had to have six lymph nodes removed last year. That arm and hand is very sensitive, and always has alittle swelling now.
Fearing the worst, I made an emergency doctors appointment.
I showed her where I felt the lump on my arm.
"There are no lymph nodes there - thats a muscle!" said the doctor, "You must have sprained it. Did you over do it recently?"
Yes, I had been doing major cleaning of my apartment.
She said "Don't worry - your breast cancer isn't spreading to your arm!"
She told me the big long name of the muscle - which I forget - and reminded me of my next follow-up appointment.
Gee, I'm glad that was nothing !

Casino Royale & Whats New Pussycat
Over at the Egyptian Theatre tonight.
They were showing Casino Royale from 1967 and Whats New Pussycat from 1965.
I couldn't stay for the movies. I just volunteered taking tickets, then went home.
On yesterdays post I mentioned that I went to an 11 pm showing of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
Well, figure a 2 and a half hour movie, with about a half hour worth of Advertising and Previews.
So I got out of the movie around 2 am.
By the time I got home, I could not fall asleep.
I was still awake at 5 am when the sun was coming up !
So my entire internal clock was off all day.
Even though I really wanted to see both movies, I just couldn't.
I was totally out of it all day.
