The Odyssey Theatre
Tonight I volunteered at The Odyssey Theatre on Sepulveda Blvd in West Los Angeles.
This mainly meant that I sold concessions. They had pretty fancy concessions.
I learned to make cappuccino in the machine.
I've never made cappuccino, so it was a learning experience.
And we even had decaf available.
All the shows were sold-out, so I wasn't able to go see a play tonight.
But I get to come back at a later date and see a show with a friend to make up for it.
Being at the Odyssey really brought back memories. It was the place I took my very first professional acting class.
That was about a zillion years ago.
Fox Studios volunteer Orientation
This morning I had a volunteer orientation for a charity event I am volunteering for.
The 9th Annual Extravaganza for the Senses which will benefit the Los Angeles Free Clinic .
It was on the Fox Studios lot on Pico Blvd in West Los Angeles.
They took us on a tour of the Fox lot, and showed us where we will be working.
I will be doing Guest check-in. And since no one can just drive on to a movie studio lot, we must check them in at their cars.
This means I will be in the back parking area, as the cars drive up.
Not very glamorous, but it is for a good cause.
And plus, I only have to work during the time people are arriving. After that, I get to head out an enjoy the event for myself.

Linda Ronstadt
Tonight we headed over to the Gibson Amphitheatre for the Linda Ronstadt concert.
First, we walked around Universal Citywalk , and stopped to have dinner at Shanghai and Mein . They have delicious Chinese Food.
Then we saw the concert. The opening act for Linda Ronstadt was Richie Furay.
It was a really fun evening. Great food. And Great music.

LA People connection went out to a play at Art Works Theatre on Santa Monica Blvd.
"Internet Dating - The Musical" was very funny !
Lots of great songs, like "You are cute, but you don't know how to spell."

Mods and Rockers Tea Party
Happy Fourth of July !
I spent it at The Mods and Rockers Tea Party, over at The Egyptian Theatre.
They served traditional English food - Bangers and a Pea Salad.
I didn't have a banger - thank heavens there were turkey sausages.
The band, The Ravers , played 60s music in the courtyard.
And many of us ended up dancing the night away.
