The Prince of Denmark
Such a wonderful night. The Aero volunteers had to get all dressed up and head on over to Bergamot Station .
The Danish Film Festival was having a special party.
And The Prince of Denmark was there.
It was all very impressive.
Lots of pretty art work on the walls.
And lots of pretty blue drinks made with pineapple juice.
Many people in pretty outfits, wanting to get next to a real Prince.
I started the evening out at, of all places - the back door. By the Caterers.
The door had to be opened for the food servers, but I had to watch to make sure no one else walked in without an invitation.
Yeah, volunteering is sooooo glamorous.
I thought it was really funny when one of the beautifully dressed ladies in an evening gown came back to see the caterers.
She was demanding Cheese.
The Danish love cheese, she said.
But the caterers had no cheese. Only adorable little appetizers to go with the fancy drinks.
It ended up that being stationed by the back door during the first half of the evening was actually a blessing.
It was crazy and hectic at the front door.
Half-way through the evening they switched me to the check-in table at front.
By then everyone had checked in.
so I had the least stressful night of all.
After my shift was over, I went and got one of those blue pineapple drinks.

Dresden Restaurant
A night out with LA People Connection .
We had a nice dinner at The Dresden Restaurant in Los Feliz.
I ordered a fish dinner. And chatted with two sisters who had moved here from Bulgaria - then one of the sisters was living in New Orleans when the flood hit. They had some interesting stories to tell.
Unfortunately, the rice in my dinner must have had MSG in it. I thought I could taste it as I ate.
Since having breast cancer last year, I try to stay away from preservatives and additives when I can.
The MSG really made me swell up, and it took a couple of days to get it out of my system even though I drank lots of water.
We stopped off in the bar area to listen to Marty and Elayne .
It was packed with people. There really was nowhere to sit. So we could not stay a long time.
It looks like a really fun place, I can't wait to go back.

Celebration
The Danish Film Festival was screening The Celebration .
There was a nice party before with lots of wine and cheese.
I guess the Danish people really like cheese ...
It was a busy busy night.
Woody Allen
Drove over to the Aero Theatre to catch another Woody Allen film.
This time is "Everything you Always Wanted To Know About Sex (but were to afraid to ask)" from 1972.
Funny movie ! A great classic comedy. The scene with the sperms in the body are to funny.
Burt Reynolds as a sperm - how hysterical !

Ren and Stimpy
What a fun night - Ren and Stimpy screening over at the Aero Theatre .
Or, should I say The Adult version - the episodes that didn't make it to TV.
I decided to be "Captain" tonight and help out in the lobby, and I only stuck my head in to catch a few minutes here and there.
Anything with a Cat in it is something I want to see. And this was very funny adult humor.
The people who came to the screening were really a fun bunch too.
Just one thing - we had to question a few of the adults bringing in really young children. And let them know that is was stuff far more adult than the TV shows.
And John K signed a "Life Sucks" poster print for me - which I really love. I have it hanging in my apartment now.
Then, I went across the street to Every Picture Tells a Story .
John K was autographing artwork, and people were hanging out and having wine.
